Good Audio!! DCS Guardian 2nd Hearing 10/01/2024

14 months ago, DCS Deputy Director Lujan claimed to find a glitch in the Guardian system resulting in records of every kind not being able to be transferred or disclosed.
This has been happening for YEARS and YEARS!! Parents, attorneys, the Foster Care Review Board and judges knew this. Nothing was done until...POOF, Deputy Director (DD) Lujan claimed to have discovered this "issue" 14 months ago. This is another DCS deception.
This not only effects DCS courts but also effects FAMILY courts. Just ask Judge Bruce Cohen about that!! While on the Family Court Improvement Committee, Judge B. Cohen was working with DCS to get the records from DCS courts into family courts in a timely manner. After several Family Court Improvement Committee meetings where Judge Cohen reported on the progress of these meetings suddenly the discussion about these DCS meetings stopped. When asked about this topic months later, Judge Cohen stated (indirect quote) "The Guardian system DCS uses is not capable of that."
The Guardian system isn't the only issue blocking disclosures. DCS and the AG's office also block disclosure. They may have it in their claws, but it doesn't get disclosed to the court or to the parents' attorneys.
Judge Gass (Division One Appellate Court) is sick of it! Judge Gass spent his time as a judge in the DCS courts in the past and knows of DCS' tactics. He is the ONLY judge (or person with power) that has taken this issue on and is holding "The Department" accountable.
For that, we THANK Judge Gass for all of his work on this issue. DCS is so messed up and the Guardian system is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to DCS tactics and disasters that greatly HARM AZ children and families. Maybe Judge Gass will see everything else that is happening and hold DCS accountable in all those areas as well. We can only HOPE!!
