Rowe-Electronics, has come up with an alternative to the standard accessory fuse box and relay system, with the PDM60 (Power Distribution Module 60). This device is a solid-state unit that can handle up to six accessory circuits, and up to 60 AMPs of current. Like the fuse box described above, the PMD60 is wired directly to your bikes battery, isolating it from the rest of the electrical system. It is also activated via a keyed trigger wire, or a keyed ground wire (the PDM60 can be set up either way).
The advantages of the PMD60 are that you do not have to maintain physical relays and fuses, and each circuit is programmable for Amperage, trigger method, as well as an activation or deactivation delay.
One of the accessories I have added to my 2015 Yamaha Super Tenere, are the PIAA LP530 LED driving lights. I was looking for a light that would only enable me to see better at night, but also make me more visible during day-light hours. I think these lights accomplish both task very well.
