This is one of the most exciting workflows I have come up with and I’m really enjoying using it every day. After getting a white car I found myself trying to find a way to keep it clean in between the weekly car wash. Especially in winter!

It seemed with a white car (Tesla Model 3) it got filthy even after just one drive, especially in winter. I am happy doing a weekly wash to keep the car clean but I felt that with all the effort I put into that, it seemed a shame to see the car get dirty so quickly after washing it.

In this video I explore the routine I’ve come up with to make it possible to wash most of the fresh dirt off the car every day or even after every drive. The routine is a super-fast (3 minutes), contactless and brings the car back to almost fully clean throughout the week. The routine is fast and hassle-free which of course is the only way something like this is ever going to work.

The two components to making all this possible are the cordless pressure washer and a de-ionisiong water filter to avoid water spots and ensure it‘s possible to do this without needing to dry the car.

The cordless pressure washer I ended up getting is the Worx Hydroshot 630E which is the top spec in the UK and middle spec model for the US. I think it’s the minimum level you’d want and wouldn’t recommed getting the cheaper models due to smaller batteries and slower chargers.

The Worx Hydroshot cordless pressure washer is really brilliant and makes it possible to use in this kind of super quick car wash routine due to its portability and ease of grabbing and using.

To make the fast car wash routine really work we need to make sure there are no water spots or marks left from the process. This is where the de-ionizing water filter comes in. This lets you prepare your bucket with de-ionized water so you can use it to rinse the car and then just walk away.
