This is a supplementary video to the information given here: https://bitleysounds.com/working-with... - it basically tries to teach you that all midi gear like effects, drum machines and synthesizers are working in the same way when it comes to sysex.
Sysex or System exclusive are small kilobyte sized files that contain all of the data in your machine. Learn to back these up and learn how to load in new sysex files.
As we do point out the three most important things are:
1. Make sure the midi channel is correct / and the interface port.
2. Enable sysex in the machine.
3. Disable protect.
Examples are given here using Kawai K4, Yamaha YS-100, E-mu Proteus /1, Korg T3 EX, Roland Fantom-S and Roland RD-250S.
The video also describes how to check the system version of your Kawai K4 and K4R synthesizer. Also applies to the Kawai K1 and some other Kawai synthesizers.
We also design sound banks for Reason, Kontakt and many hardware synths – and all of that is available on https://bitleysounds.com.
