But Moses’ mother, Jochebed, loved her baby very much and had faith that God would protect him. She carefully placed baby Moses in a basket made of reeds and set it afloat on the river, praying for God’s guidance.

Moses’ sister, Miriam, watched over him from a distance.

Pharaoh’s daughter discovered the basket and decided to adopt Moses, showing kindness and compassion.

Moses’ mother was even able to care for him as his nurse, keeping him safe while he grew up in Pharaoh’s palace.

Moses grew up strong, wise, and humble, learning lessons that would prepare him for the amazing mission God had planned—leading the Israelites out of Egypt and into freedom.
