2001 Nights is a love letter to science based fiction that Sir Arthur C. Clarke would be proud of. Well, he should be as the whole series is clearly built on the foundation Clarke moulded for scifi with his ground breaking classics. Stories of humankind's will to know more, to understand the universe we live in, to expand humanity beyond our planet and even beyond our solar system. And it was all rooted in real science of the times making stories even more absorbing. Readers felt this could all be real one day - and the stories tickled their imagination long after finishing the books.
Yukinobu Hoshino's series is 10/10 gem for anyone into hard scifi. How have I not heard from this earlier! It might be due to my poor knowledge of Japanese comics. I loved reading this so much that it will make me want to dig deeper into the world of manga too. Truly a magnificent comic!
