Welcome back to week 2 of our Winter Wonderland celebration of Drop in Art Jr! We have been learning about changes in nature when winter arrives...the weather gets colder and that can bring challenges to animals who migrate, hibernate, or adapt to the cold conditions.
Join Mary Knapp as she reads "In the Snow" by Sharon Phillips Denslow to learn what happens to animals during winter. Then follow along to learn how to make salt dough ornaments to hang from your tree!
Materials kits for all of the Drop in Art Jr. programs during Winter Wonderland are available for FREE at the Ward Museum and will include most of the supplies to make today's craft. If you didn't get a materials kit, all you need to make your salt dough ornaments is salt dough, a small piece of straw, an object from nature (leaf, shell, pinecone, evergreen branch, etc.), a plate, and a small piece of string.

Winter Wonderland & Drop in Art Jr is sponsored in part by the Susan Kathleen Black Foundation and Chesapeake Utilities.
