Free the Fairbanks Four went viral on social media after it was exposed that Fairbanks, Alaska police department may have hide proof of innocence of four teenage boys in the murder of John G. Hartman. Marvin Roberts, Eugene Vent, George Frese, and Kevin Pease had been convicted of the 1997 murder but it wasn't until 2015 that they would be released after being found to be wrongfully convicted. After 18 years in prison, alibis, coerced witness statements, false confessions and conflicting confessions were found. All pointing to the innocence of the Fairbanks four.
