In this video, I experiment with doing the first round in the colour pattern that I plan to use for the whole hat. It was easier than I thought to do this, but it was extremely tricky to figure out how to fold up the brim. The colour pattern I decided on was a 2x2 vertical stripe, but I off-set the pattern by one stitch on every round to get a swirly look.
