This event was presented in collaboration with Blue Hill Observatory in MEDITECH's auditorium in Canton, MA on Feb. 8, 2025. Learn about Ty Gagne’s unique process of research and storytelling for his new release "The Lions of Winter" as well as the weather and climate science shaping our understanding of avalanches in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
A brief overview connecting avalanches with the increasing frequency of rain-on-snow featuring MWOBS Weather Observer Ryan Knapp will be followed by Gagne’s presentation and a Q&A. Thank you to everyone who came to this event!
