"idontwannabeyouanymore" - Billie Eilish | Taryn Cheng Choreography

I've always loved this song purely from a musical standpoint but never really connected to it emotionally. The meaning felt too heavy and dark for me to resonate with fully, so I never choreographed to it. It kind of just clicked one day though that--for me, at least--the song isn't so much about not loving yourself, but more so about wanting to strive to be the best version of yourself possible. We all have things that weigh us down: insecurity, anxiety, unhealthy obsessions, perfectionism, lack of confidence, etc. These hold us back from growth and from reaching our fullest potential, and it's these things that we can strive to overcome in order to be fully in love with the person looking back in the mirror...or to love in spite of.
