On October 29th, in alignment with World Psoriasis Day, the virtual roundtable "Bridging the Gap: Advancing Psoriasis Care in Europe," supported by Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), convened policy experts, health care providers, patients, and advocates. The event spotlighted critical issues in psoriasis care pathways across Europe and beyond, drawing on insights from the Economist Impact report, "Beyond Skin-Deep: Tackling Gaps in Psoriasis Care". This report examined systemic challenges in countries including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the UK, and the US, identifying gaps in understanding, resources, diagnosis, and treatment for psoriasis patients globally.
The discussion emphasized shared decision-making, addressing under-treatment, and the importance of comorbidity management, with voices from various fields contributing unique perspectives:
