Please notice significant changes made to the show's mythology. The hybrid is able to compel an original vampire. Hence Klaus compels Damon to flip the switch after Damon's attempt to double cross him. Mikael on the other hand isn't a father to Klaus. He's only in the game for hunting vampires. Moreover, Elena isn't romantically or emotionally attached to Stefan in my series. He's just some guy she dated in the past.
