Today on a cold sunny day in Winter we are exploring the beautiful village of Southrop in the heart of the Cotswolds region of England. The village is situated on the River Leach which flows through this part of the Southern Cotswolds before it joins the mighty Thames.
Southrop has a beautiful church St, Peters (where supermodel Kate Moss was married!) and a traditional village pub on the green, The Swan. Its also famous for the Thyme Estate, a manor house with a cluster of properties around it which has been lovingly converted into one of the most highly respected hotels, spas and conference venues in all of the Cotswolds.
Southrop is surrounded by beautiful countryside, water meadows and streams and was voted by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the '20 most beautiful villages in the UK'. High praise indeed!
