A big sailboat on wheels made from LEGO Technic.
Only wind power! This land yacht rides only due to the force of the wind blowing into a rag sail without motors on wheels.
Electric motors are only used to remotely control turn of the wheels and rotation of the mast with the sail to adjust the direction of boat movement. Turning the sail and wheels in opposite directions allows you to ride not only with a tailwind, but also one blowing at angle to the sailboat.
The video contains both shots with movement overland sailboat only from the force of nature of the wind, and with forced injection using a garden leaf blower.
In windy weather, this terrestrial yacht rolls very fast without any help.
It was necessary to find a compromise between the strength of the structure and its low weight. Therefore, during the creation process, it was necessary to modify and strengthen the structure several times.
