Laura Huppert, a breast medical oncologist at UCSF, will be presenting "Development of a novel assay to detect circulating tumor cells in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with leptomeningeal disease" at the annual AACR meeting in Chicago. Leptomeningeal disease (LMD) affects 5-10% of patients with metastatic solid tumors.
