In this series of videos I'm going to make a novelty pop-up box based on a box originally made by Hugo Peller. I'm not following any instructions directly from Peller, just using my preferred methods for making slipcases and clamshell enclosures. There is a good chance that many of the techniques I use will overlap with what Peller did, as what I do is very standard in bookbinding. There are some instruction online based on Peller's work, and I'll link to them below as well as any other useful links on this subject.
I've broken this project into three parts - the slipcase, the trays, and finally the case and putting it all together.

Any PVA/EVA designed for use with paper is fine as an adhesive. The specific glue I'm using is Evasol. I highly recommend Jade 403 and Planatol BB.

The ribbon is Offray 22mm 7/8in double face satin. I use the same ribbon but 3mm wide for registers/bookmarks.
The covering material for the case and walls of the trays is Arbelave buckram bookcloth made at the Red Bridge mill.

The decorative paper used to cover the slipcase and line the trays is described as "Carta Varese" Florentine paper by the supplier. It seems to be available around the world under similar names.

The paper I used to line the board is Conqueror laid cream 100gsm. Just about any paper can be used for this.
I used a generic acid-free 2.4mm binders grey board. 80pt Davey board would be a good board to use.
