This song is about looking at myself pre-lockdown, seeing the expectations and ambitions that person had. And thinking, would he be happy with the person he’s become? I’ve gained weight, I’ve lost and re-established my motivation an uncountable amount of times. Have I been productive enough, have I been working hard enough, am I going in the right direction and also dealing with the fact that I’ve had so little control over my direction in the last year.

We’ve all been through a lot. And this song is about accepting that journey. By allowing yourself to build a character and then an entire world, you can escape this one. And that feeling of leaving this worlds stress and worry behind is what I cherish most about art.
