The last fight with most of the fluid animation starts at 2:31.
15/03/24 Update: 25% Done. It's a lot of drawing.
11/04/24 Update: 50% Done. I really wish this was the only thing I needed to work on, because I love making it.
23/06/24 Update: 75% Done. There was a 1 month delay because it was deadline week, and then revision week, and then there were two weeks of exams. I'll be on holiday in the next two weeks.
17/07/24 Update: Done.
A work in progress of a TF2 Smile HD video.

Expected release date of the final project is *15 March*, but you know how trustworthy internet animators' (semi) self assigned deadlines are.
The following is a great deal of detail that you may not necessarily care about.
1) Wootuli drew me a thumbnail for this, so I've used it here. @Goofy-ah_channel
2) This video does not contain any traced frames. They are referenced. I don't mind tracing for the sole purpose of learning, but this is a video I am planning to promote, and to trace then would be wrong.
3) I've put little "camera movement" which is why some shots appear cropped. Camera movement is interpolated and gets in the way of the first stage of animation, so will be added in post-production of the final product.
4) "Weird size? Black bars? Red border?" That border is the boundary of the regular 1280X720 YouTube resolution. It is there because I need some room outside of that panel to do transform mask movement (including some camera movement) within Krita, the initial animation program.
5) "Lack of inbetweens in most parts?" If I don't have to match a certain frame to a certain time in the audio, I'll usually not animate it in the sketch. This is because after I draw down every timed frame, I can work without audio for longer periods of time. And talk to people or watch something at the same time! That said, there were some parts I just really wanted to map out early. And I clearly do have my favourite shots.
6) One more thing! PLEASE if you have any disagreement with me about artistic choice, let's talk about it! I had to make a lot of decisions and I'd love other input.
7) One more... thing. I wanted to leave this for the final, but anyway, Soldier instead of Scout for Dash?
Absolutely, Scout fits her more overall.
But for the purpose of this video specifically, Soldier does.
The market garden and flying kick, the helmet and sunglasses. They were pretty cool ideas.
Also, Soldier is my favourite, if you could not already tell. The prospect of knowing I was going to be able to draw his guts spilling out was motivating.
8) Okay, there will be more things. Medic and Pyro are incredibly strong and can fly because they're super Saiyan. Yes, that's the explaination in the original Smile HD.
9) The animation charts are inconsistent and unconventional. I've made them in a way that helps with my workflow, especially the phase where I animate with no audio.
