This April, I went cherry blossom viewing with friends. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't ideal for cherry blossom viewing, with cloudy skies, rain, and low temperatures. However, the cherry blossoms were close to full bloom, and I still enjoyed imagining how beautiful it would have been on a sunny day. Perhaps due to the overcast sky, there were hardly any people enjoying the cherry blossoms, so I had the wonderful experience of enjoying them in a quiet and calm atmosphere, almost as if they were all mine. We spent the whole day walking around, visiting three different spots. The fully bloomed cherry blossoms and the chirping of birds were soothing, but above all, the food and conversation with my friend made it a truly fulfilling day. I hope this video allows you to experience the atmosphere of cherry blossom viewing, one of the quintessential spring pleasures for the Japanese people.
