Showcasing the automatic clamping heads (AHK Type) from Swift Klamp being used to machine a complex part on 5 axis machining centre.
Swift Klamp automatic clamping heads can be retrofitted to many different machine types with an suitable mounting plate to ensure the low-pressure hydraulics required to actuate the system are delivered to the clamping head and the pneumatic connection for the integral airblow system. The airblow system makes sure that no chips get between the clamping head and work holder ensuring that your automation system will run without any downtime.
The AHK Type uses the HSK-A dual contact interface for their work holders which are available with many different standard combinations to enable low profile workpiece gripping and simple off-line workplace instillment of workpieces. The HSK-A interface is also very light weight and due to the design of the system the workpiece is raised high above the table surface therefore naturally allowing excellent tooling access to the workpiece.
