This week John Lennon would-have been 83 years old so here's a look at one of his most mind boggling songs.
It's always hard to know where to draw lines in beatles songs to say who had the most contribution to it but this one seems very much to me Lennon working ong in typically unknowingly yet highly sophistcated musical way... but ofcourse Paul likely brought bits to it and certainly it would not be the landmark recording it is without George Martin's very cleverly crafted (and in his case totally musically literate) arrangement and orchestral textures.
There are so many Beatles songs with extraordinary chord sequences that it's difficult to know where to start but now I have let me know what ones you'd like me to look at!?
