Principal Preparation alum and current doctoral student Tracy Donath speaks about her experiences in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations (EAF).
The Math and Science Coordinator for Peoria Public Schools said her master’s degree was instrumental to being able to take on a leadership role for her district. Now she’s just over a semester into the EAF doctoral program. But Donath is already seeing how the new knowledge and skills she’s picking up in the program can pay dividends as she takes on new challenges in her career.
“When I complete my doctoral degree, I am looking forward to the opportunity to become a curriculum director/assistant superintendent in a district. I feel like EAF will support me in that goal because I am getting a chance to network with a lot of different principals, superintendents, and regional superintendents across the Central Illinois area that can help me in my goals, learning more about curriculum development, learning more about superintendency, and also the course work definitely aligns with that goal.” -Tracy Donath
