Mantralaya Temple | Heaven On Earth | Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt

Mantralayam is a pilgrim village in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India, on the banks of the Tungabhadra River on the border with neighbouring Karnataka state. It is known for the brundavana of Raghavendra Swamy, a saint who lived in the 17th century and who entered into samadhi alive in front of his disciples. Thousands of people visit the Raghavendra Matha and temples on the banks of river.

Bichali:
Bichali also spelled as Bichchali or Bichal, is a village near Gillesugur village in the Raichur taluk of Raichur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located on the banks of Tungabhadra river. In ancient times, it was known as Bhikshalaya. Madhwa scholar and follower of Raghavendra Swami, Appanacharya was born in the village. He belonged to a family of landlords with large tract of land holdings inherited from his father. He established a gurukula for students at this place then called Japadikatte. Raghavendra Swami stayed with his follower Appanacharya at Bichali for 13 years doing penance and preaching his philosophy.

Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple:
At a distance of 20 kms from Mantralayam, Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple is situated at Panchamukhi in Karnataka, on the other side of River Tungabhadra. Panchamukhi is said to be the place where Raghavendra Swamy has performed meditation for 12 years before settling in Mantralaya. It is said that Panchamukhi Anjaneya, Kolhapur Mahalakshmi, Lord Venkateshwara and Lord Vishnu as Varaha appeared to Raghavendra Swamy at this location after his meditation. This famous five headed Anjaneya Temple is situated on a hillock and is very ancient. The idol of the Hanuman is believed to be self incarnated on a huge rock.

Abhayanjaneya Temple:
Abhayanjaneya Temple is a newly built temple near Mantralaya. It is worth to visit for people who visiting Mantralaya.
This temple is maintained by Raghvendra Swamy Mutt and distance from Mantralaya to this temple is 3.5 kms.
The statue of anjaneya is 33 feet tall and was happily inaugurated by Sri subudhendra theetha swamy.
If you planning to visit Mantralaya visit this temple also.

Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanthi are celebrated here with grandeur.

Goshala:
Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha owns a very big Go-Shala named KAMADHENU GOSHALA. Stretching around 20 acres of land (Cow yard) at the outskirts of Mantralayam, this GoShala shelters several Milking and non-milking cows here.
The goshala setup at Mantralaya is a sanctuary for old, sick, abandoned and stray cows and its progeny, of which about 20% only are milkable.
