Ya Dost (Asma se Qalb Tak) is a reflective spiritual composition that explores the relationship between the Divine Names (Asma) and the human heart (Qalb).
The song does not attempt to explain theology.
It reflects on how names shape responsibility,
and how, beyond names, relationship shapes the soul.
Each verse moves through Divine Attributes not as labels to be spoken lightly, but as qualities that demand ethical weight, inner discipline, and lived sincerity.
This work is a single composition presented in two connected parts.
Both parts together complete the meaning.
Listening to only one part gives an incomplete experience.
Please listen to Part One and Part Two in sequence.
Why “Ya Dost”
The phrase “Ya Dost” is used here as poetic address, not as a theological claim and not as a replacement for the Asma al-Husna.
It reflects a devotional tone found across classical Sufi poetry, where closeness is expressed through metaphor, not definition.
Creed remains intact.
Poetry expresses devotion.
The song makes a clear distinction:
Names define belief
Relationship reveals intention
This work is not meant to provoke debate.
It is meant to invite introspection.

Spiritual Lineage & Dedication
Dr. Ghulam Mohammad Kumar of Ganderbal
(Mama Ji, Kumar Sahib)
An alumnus of Government Medical College, Srinagar, he carried the healing arts in his hands.
Yet his heart was tuned to a higher calling.
The clinic could treat bodies.
His soul sought to awaken spirits.
Then came the call of Ishq-e-Haqiqi — quiet, decisive, irresistible.
The visible world saw a doctor step away from medicine.
The unseen world witnessed a seeker step into Fanā
the path of those who vanish in Divine Love and return as light.
Dr. Kumar Sahib is the Sufi Spiritual Master of Dr. Zarf-e-Noori.
Known among seekers as
Qalandar-e-Kashmir
the Wandering Light,
the Hidden Pearl of Kashmir, India.
