Recently a friend asked me which KitchenAid stand mixer to buy and to explain why. I thought that after talking to him that I should make a video and write a blog about the topic.
In this video, I show the three KitchenAid stand mixers that I own, the Ultra Power tilt, the Heavy Duty lift and the Commercial lift. I use all three and love all of them. The Ultra Power has a 300 Watt motor and a 4 quart bowl and is the best model for whipping up small batches of whipped cream or meringue. I love this tilt model because of the easy access to the ingredients in the bowl.
The Heavy Duty tilt model was my first KitchenAid and has been awesome for making bread dough, specifically for making my Classic Bread recipe https://cansanity.com/?page_id=1816. It does not, however, whip up small quantities of whip cream or meringue well.
The Commercial tilt model is fantastic for making triple batches of cookies, and with it's 8 quart bowl, I can make dough with 20 cups of flour.
I hope this video gives you the information you need to make an informed decision on purchasing a stand mixer. Please also check out the blog "My KitchenAid stand mixer story and which is the right one for you?" at https://cansanity.com/?p=6763.
If you already have a stand mixer, please leave a comment. You may help someone out with their research. 😉
