The realities of trying to operate this complicated and dynamic business were difficult. With the added pressures that the COVID-19 pandemic put on Fortius Sport & Health, and many other businesses, it became something we could no longer sustain. On December 15, 2020 we announced an agreement with the City of Burnaby for the purchase of the Fortius facility. The City intends to operate the facility as a recreation centre.
On December 31, 2020, we closed Fortius’ business operations. We know many of the Fortius team will carry our vision and mission forward in their next pursuits. We were fortunate to be supported by members and partners that were genuine, like-minded and who shared our passion for sport and health. We cannot express how grateful we are for your loyalty and support over the last seven years.
It was our pleasure and privilege to help so many of you optimize your health, fitness and sport performance.
