This is the first video footage of a colossal squid in its natural habitat!
We’ve known about it for nearly a century, but this is the first time we’ve seen one alive at the depth of 600 meters.
You can clearly see its transparent body, huge reflective eyes, and delicate internal organs.
What’s even more amazing is that it can shift its color from transparent to deep red.
An adult colossal squid can grow up to 24 feet long and weigh over 1,100 pounds, but this one is just a juvenile, and it's barely a foot long.
