普通話水平測試（PSC）:
普通話水平測試（PSC）是國家語言文字工作委員會、國家教育委員會、廣播電影電視部三部委於1994年10月聯合發佈的一項國家語言考試。 這項考試的目的在於考查以漢語方言為母語的人掌握和使用普通話所達到的標準程度。 測試採用口試方式進行，形式包括朗讀字詞與短文、判斷和說話。

Putonghua Proficiency Test:
The Putonghua Proficiency Test or Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) is an official test of spoken fluency in Standard Chinese (Mandarin) intended for native speakers of Chinese languages. The test was developed in October 1994 by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Beijing Language and Culture University and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.[1] Specified standards of achievement in the test are required for many jobs in broadcasting, education and government.

The standard pronunciation of Mandarin dialogue is Beijing dialect, the basic dialect is Northern dialect, and the standard modern vernacular is used as the grammatical norm. "Using Beijing dialect as the standard pronunciation" means adopting the phonetic system of Beijing dialect, namely the system of initial consonants, finals and tones.
普通話是以北京語音為標準音，以北方話為基礎方言，以典範的現代白話文為語法規範。 「以北京語音為標準音」指的是取用北京話的音系，即聲母、韻母、聲調系統。
