Visiting Singapore's New Year market & tasting treats

I have just came across Singapore's Lunar New Year market. This year marks the year of the snake. I find it fascinating how they have made (designed) the snake to look very cute. It almost makes me want to have a pet snake.
There is lots and lots merchandise related to the new year and snake, even pillows. I didnt quite know that this amount of merchandise gets made and sold.
In this market I found lots of different treats and snacks. One of the treats that I didnt know about was a fruit name Persimmon. I had never heard of this fruit. I didnt even know it existed. A friendly lady came up to me and told me its the new year fruit. The fruit taste like orange/peach and a bit of honey(?). Very sweet fruit. I would definitely have it again. I dont think Ive seen it sold in the US or Mexico. I looked it up and it kinda looks like an orange and tomato had a baby. Regardless, I like it, its really good.
In this market you can pretty much find lots of things. Great for out door shopping. I really enjoyed walking around here. Really nice place to visit.
