Just about everybody struggles to understand Acid Base Balance, particularly Metabolic Acidosis. This is the third and final tutorial in the series on the role of Carbon Dioxide in Acid Base Balance. The tutorial looks at respiratory compensation for metabolic acidosis. I also have expanded the remit of the tutorial to explain the Anion Gap, the Base Excess/Deficit and provide you with some tools to help you work out complex Acid Base abnormalities. I guarantee you'll learn something.
