Draco gets sorted into Gryffindor. His father is furious that he has broken the family tradition. His father sends him a howler. After that his father starts to ignore Draco. Draco gets mad. And after seeing his father again, he feels like a failure. He asks the sorting hat if it perhaps made a mistake, but it claims it did not. Then Snape yells at him. At Christmas Harry and Ron get many presents, but Draco has none. It too much for him so he goes and cries by a tree. He sees his father again, but his father is cruel once more. At last Draco musters up the courage to confront his father...
