“There is a need for the title to be changed back to Olu of Itsekiri, as that reflects the actual reality. The Olu of Itsekiri palace sits on leased land, so claiming ownership of Warri while the palace itself is on leased property is inappropriate. The Federal and State Governments should consider restoring the title to Olu of Itsekiri, since he is the traditional ruler of the Itsekiri people alone and does not preside over Urhobo or Ijaw communities.”
