EP-9 Arwah Cave Meghalaya | Exploring the Wonders of Cherrapunji

We visited this place in day time and while visitng it started raining. but we enjoyed the place. Arwah Cave—also known as Krem Lumshynna—is one of India’s youngest show caves, opened to the public in 2014. Nestled in the lush outskirts of Cherrapunji (Sohra) on the Shillong–Sohra Highway,. Stretching approximately 300–400 m, the cave offers a mystical maze of narrow passages, grand chambers, underground streams, and dramatic limestone formations .

🧭 Journey & Accessibility
Entrance: just 3–4 km from Cherrapunji bus stand—reachable within 10 minutes via a scenic trek through lush forest
Trail: a 400 m paved path leads to the cave mouth, offering panoramic views of cliffs and waterfalls .
Guided tour: local guides enhance your journey, pointing out geological wonders and safety hazards—highly recommended
