About This Video: My Labor & Delivery Story
This is the full, unfiltered vlog of my daughter’s birth. This journey was about more than just a hospital stay; it was a test of endurance and maternal instinct as a single mother. After months of preterm labor and strict bed rest, I faced this birth at age 40 (AMA).

My analytics show that many of you find these stories through search, and I want to be as transparent as possible about the medical reality of this experience.

The Night Before: A Scare in the Dark I spent the first night in the hospital alone. As a single mom, it was a heavy, scary experience. Things took a turn when her heart rate dropped suddenly, leading the nurses to rush in and start an IV. It was a terrifying reminder of how quickly things can change.

The Induction & Rapid Labor:

I was admitted for a Cervidil induction, followed by Pitocin the next morning.

The Shift: Once the Pitocin kicked in, I dilated extremely quickly.

The Complication: When my doctor broke my water, we realized she was turned the wrong way, shoulder first. This was a repeat of my oldest son's birth, adding a layer of familiar fear to the room.

The Birth: After over an hour of pushing with no progression, we had to get creative. My doctor had me move into multiple different positions to help her navigate the birth canal. It worked. She was born healthy, but we discovered the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck three times. This story is for every woman who has had to find strength in a lonely hospital room or fight through a complicated delivery. We are capable of incredible things.
