Off-the-Beaten-Path Mayan Ruins in Guatemala 🇬🇹

This adventure started in San Lucas Tolimán, where we stayed at Guatemala Dreams, a beautiful lakeside hotel on Lake Atitlán that works closely with the local community. With the help of a knowledgeable local guide from the area, we were able to gain permission to hike and film at hidden Mayan ruins that most travelers never get to see.

This wasn’t a typical tour. It was a challenging hike, rich history, and a reminder of why responsible, community-led travel matters. Exploring these ruins alongside someone who knows the land and its stories added so much depth to the experience.
