Haixinsha Island is a man-made island located on the Pearl River in Guangzhou. It offers a particularly beautiful view in the evening as visitors enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Pearl River. It is a great place to visit after sunset in Guangzhou. Haixinsha Island also affords a great view the 604-meter-tall Canton Tower, drawing many photographers. The Asian Games Park on the island was the venue for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. The main venue still has four large screens and seats for the audience. Haixin Bridge is the first pedestrian bridge on both sides of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, and it is the curved girder skew arch pedestrian bridge with the largest span and the widest width in the world.
