In this presentation Randall Barnett discusses the impact Hurricane Helene had on western North Carolina and highlights those who stepped up to serve their fellow man. Hurricane Helene caused the death of at least 107 N.C. residents and did massive damage to the infrastructure in the western part of the state. In the wake of this disaster Tsali lodge has made their slogan Rebuilding for Tomorrow, and has created a patch set to honor the people those in the community consider heroes. From local residents on rescue rafts to power crews coming all the way from Canada it has taken a massive effort to get through these trying times. While the work to rebuild continues we should celebrate how far we have progressed and thank everyone for their support.
