Door County is sometimes referred to as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest". It's a peninsula that juts out into Lake Michigan, bounded by the lake on its east and Green Bay on its west. It's home to beautiful beaches, historic lighthouses, rolling fruit orchards, and beautiful resort towns, harbors and marinas. In this episode of Grand Adventure we get derailed by yet another breakdown, necessitating an emergency whirlwind trip to Michigan's Lower Peninsula, but still find the time to tour the county, paddle our kayak out to an island lighthouse, and even go parasailing 500 feet above the deep blue waters of Green Bay with Wisconsin Water Wings, all from our campsite at Beantown Campground in Bailey's Harbor!
