Ah-64 Apache helicopter (English: AH-64 Apache) is designed and manufactured by the Boeing Company for the United States Army of a major helicopter attack, named after the Native American Apache.It is being developed under the U.S. Army's Advanced Attack Helicopter (AAH) program as a successor to the AH-1 Cobra.Five companies -- Boeing, Bell, Hughes, Lockheed, and Sikorsky -- competed for the project before the Army chose the Bell Helicopter Model 409/YAH-63, built by Hughes Aircraft's Toolco Aircraft Division (later hughes Helicopters),To enter the second stage of the bidding.In 1976, the Pentagon decided that the YAH-64 from Hughes Aircraft (later acquired by McDonnell Douglas) would win.
The original price tag for an AH-64 was $14.5 million;However, when Greece ordered 12 planes in September 2003, the total cost was 675 million dollars, including weapons and logistical support, and the unit cost increased to 56.25 million dollars.
AH-64「阿帕奇」直升機（英語：AH-64 Apache）是由美國波音公司為美國陸軍所設計製造的一款主力武裝直升機，得名於美洲原住民阿帕奇族。它是根據美國陸軍的先進武裝直升機（Advanced Attack Helicopter, AAH）項目所開發，以作為AH-1眼鏡蛇的後繼機種。該項目由波音、貝爾、休斯、洛克希德、賽考斯基等五家公司競標，之後美軍選擇了貝爾直升機公司的Model 409/YAH-63，與休斯飛機公司的Toolco Aircraft Division（即後來的休斯直升機）所製造的YAH-64，進入第二階段的競標。1976年時，五角大廈決定由休斯飛機公司（後被麥道並購）的YAH-64獲勝。
原本一架AH-64的單價是1,450萬美元；不過希臘在2003年9月訂購了12架的時候，包含武器和後勤支援，總額是6億7500萬美元，單價也增加為5,625萬美元。
