It’s the 23rd of July and Euston’s estate deer manager, Chris Rogers takes to the cereal fields of East Anglia in search of rutting roe and bucks to try and call in close. Although there have been some signs of the rut getting going the week before, calling has been unsuccessful and proper rutting activity, where the bucks are chasing the does without stopping, hasn’t yet been seen. Chris has a selection of mouth calls to choose from, but which one will bring in the bucks this year? In this video chris gives a few hints and tips on how to call roe deer in and how to get the shot off at close quarters.
