Dante: Inferno Playthrough (Circle 1 - Minos Confrontation)

After defeating Charon, we arrive at the large castle gates that lead to the Bailey, where we learn of several paths that lie before us. We start by investigating the camp of the Order spotted to the north. Our attempt at scouting fail as we are spotted by a squad of knights from behind. We decide to lie and make up a story about us being another squad of knights with an important and classified mission. This works on the knights and we are free to investigate the camp. In the camp, we meet Hippocrates, patron of medicine, and he can tell that we are no knights. He begs us to spare the soldiers who are in his care even though they could be a problem for us in the future once they’ve recovered. We agree to spare the soldiers and he offers us a Caduceus as thanks. While searching the camp, we discover a Bloodstained Letter on one of the stunned nights and take it as a clue for later. Our next stop is to visit the strategist, Saladin, who tells us of Daedalus’s workshop nearby. We also spot a patrol of knights heading into the mists to the east. Not wanting to miss an opportunity to see what the knights are up to, we follow them to Plato’s Cave. Here we find Daedalus chained up at the entrance and he tells us he’s been arrested because he knows that the woman saying that she is Pasiphae, Minos’s wife, is an imposter. We free him and he says that he can help us get into the court. He leads us to an almost invisible entrance in the cave and after some time, we arrive inside of Minos’s Manor. Once faced with King Minos, he tells us he’s is furious for interrupting his nuptials and we realize he hadn’t allied with the invaders, but was taking time to spend with his wife. Dante pleads with Minos to resume his responsibility as Judge. But Minos won’t hear it and our audience with him is over


*While being held, you aren't able to be targeted by most abilities, even ones saying "any range." But it made for a cool cinematic moment, so I left it in.
