This PSA campaign, “Overwhelmed,” addresses the tendency of many teens to literally feel distressed and demoralized by life’s everyday challenges –- especially social pressures. These three spots (:60, :30 and :15) portray a teen boy who is discouraged by friends who behave badly – and not knowing if he should join in or resist. He encounters his classmates drinking, smoking, and engaging in shady hallway transactions. His confusion leads to a gloomy outlook and feelings of isolation, which start to snowball.
“Overwhelmed” connects with the growing number of teens in this predicament and offers a way they can take the first steps to feeling positive again and not being afraid to be different.
