Turns out the relay is triggering my fuel pumps to run 100% all the time. Unfortunately, I don't think this is an ideal solution for a car that potentially see idling in traffic or light engine loads. Running the fuel pumps at 100% during these situations can cause the car to start to run rich.
In this video I walk you through the process of how I am trying to retain the ECU's control over the fuel pumps while powering the fuel pumps off the battery. Remember the factory controller cannot support the current draw of two fuel pumps, so a solution is need to retain the ECU's control while still being able to power two pumps from a battery.
I have a two ideas I cover in this video, neither of which I've proven to work. Hopefully the next video will be one that covers a successful solution.
