3 Point Hitch & Power Steering - John Deere 400

I got a little bit of progress done off-camera, but in today's video, I showcase all the details on each and every part I mounted. My main focus was to paint the rims, so I could get the John Deere 400 back on the concrete shop floor.
Once that was done I focused on the power-assisted steering assembly. From the steering gearbox all the way to the tie-rod, every single part has been mounted. A few subscribers really wanted to know how this system works and in this video, I will share with you all the information on the whole steering assembly!
After that, I went ahead to mount the 3 point hitch and I had a couple of minor issues to resolve. The old lift-cylinder had a worn rod and I was able to find an OEM used lift cylinder to swap the old one with.
This worked out very well, but some of the brackets and welds around the 3 point hitch were very poor and I was able to identify that the frame assembly around the "new" lift cylinder would cause an issue once again.
I took all the components apart and measured all the clearances and came to the conclusion that I had to modify the 3 point rockshaft.
After a little modification, the "new" lift cylinder was free from any obstacles around the cylinder rod. I would say it was sloppy from JD in the first place...but who really knows!
Now the 3 point assembly works 100% and I can share with you all the components involved within the 3 point hitch. I also demonstrate how the lift-cylinder, lifts the lower lift arms with ease.
