This was my first journey out of Newcastle for 17 months. It was great to take the Metro to Tynemouth and be able to film this beautiful ship as it left the River Tyne.
The weather was not great for August - dull and very windy. However, that was compensated for by seeing this great ship emerging round the bend in the River Tyne - for me, a heart stoppingly beautiful sight.
It was great to hear the three long blasts from the ship as it approached, and another set as it left the Tyne and entered the North Sea.
The nearest thing we humans can get to the beauty of swans.
