Hi Pattus,
This week we will be reading Handa's Surprise.
"True friends are never apart, maybe in distance, but never in heart."
This is a beautiful story shared by two girls who live in a tribe in Kenya. The fantastic illustrations gives us a vivid description of animals and fruits that are part of the Kenyan landscape. As we read the book, it makes us want to warn Handa that the fruits she lovingly collected for her friend Akeyo was being stolen by cheeky animals. Friends add meaning to our life in many beautiful ways.
We would like to thank Eileen Browne for sharing this wonderful story that we have enjoyed reading together, and for illustrating all the beautiful images in the book as well.
