With the Autumn colours sticking around longer than usual, we squeezed in a hike at Cadair Idris before it all faded. It was much wetter than anticipated, with hail, sleet, and windy rain making filming difficult. We managed to make it to the top and back down but with every piece of clothing soaked through, it was still, a very enjoyable and beautiful hike.

Cadair Idris or Penygadair, is the 19th highest mountain in Wales and one of the three mountains which make up the Welsh Three Peaks.
Cadair Idris translated means 'The Chair of Idris' or 'Idris's Chair', in folklore Idris was a giant who lived on the mountain and used a nearby lake as an armchair. The large boulders on the lower slopes are said to be from stone throwing battles between Idris and other giants. Cadair Idris lies at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park and is shrouded in Welsh myth and legend.
