The Devotion lesson is found in Isaiah 4:2-6 with the Key Scripture being 4:4a “The Lord will wash the filth from beautiful Zion and cleanse Jerusalem of its bloodstains with the hot breath of fiery judgment.”

Today’s Devotional Lesson is entitled “A Remnant Promise”

Isaiah 4:2-6 envisions a future restoration of Israel, following a period of judgment and destruction. The passage describes the "branch of the Lord," often interpreted as the “Messiah”, who will reign over the survivors of Israel.This future glory includes a cleansed and holy people, a cloud by day and fire by night offering protection, and a place of refuge and beauty. There is a Promise to the Remnant of God. The promises also point to a spiritual renewal, where every dwelling place will be a "Tabernacle of God," and the Lord will be present and offer protection.
