The Polish Route (WI6- 1000ft) | Colfax Peak, WA

(Feb 9, 2025) Ice Climbing the 'Polish Route' on the Northwest face of Colfax Peak. Located just next to the mighty Kulshan is an unmistakable ice line. Not often is there such good waterfall climbing in such a rad position. Full value day with Murray that had a sizeable skinning approach, lots of climbing, a complicated descent, and sweet powder turns to cap off the day. Unsure whether this was 5+ or 6- in the current 'connected' yet very awkward condition. It felt very hard so im gonna say the latter. And before any airchair alpinists want to chime in, go up and have a try on it...
